• PRINT THESE INSTRUCTIONS before downloading. The links for downloading are at the bottom of this page.
• Click on the Link to LAS at the bottom of this page
• A message from your browser asks if you want to "OPEN IT" or "SAVE IT TO DISK". Choose "Save It To Disk". This may take a few minutes to download to your Hard Disk before the file can be run.
• Now, once it's done downloading, find where you saved it on your hard disk and run it from there.
• You will then be presented with the "Setup Wizard" which will walk you through the installation.
• When you are asked for your "Registration Key," enter the key you were given when you bought LAS, or leave it blank. If you do leave it blank, LAS will install in "Demo" mode, and you will be able to enter a registration key from within LAS to unlock its full functionality.
  Your registration key looks something like this: LX5T-PYKJ-4CA5-ZU73
• If you need to install LAS on a computer other than the one you are downloading it on, you will have to copy the file you downloaded to a CD, flash drive or Zip Drive. This is because the installation file is over 15 MB and won't fit on a floppy disk.
• If you are upgrading you may have to import your data using "Restore":
  • After LAS is installed and running, select [ File --> Utilities --> Backup/Restore --> Restore ] from the main menu.
    (Note: If an older "major" version of LAS was on the computer onto which you are now installing the new version of LAS, and LAS does not automatically import your old data, you can launch LAS then select [ File --> Utilities --> Backup/Restore --> Find My Data ] to let LAS search for your old data folder.)
  • Click the downarrow button on the right... a "browse" window will appear.
  • Browse to the data directory from your old LAS installation (which should be C:\AAS\LASWIN) then click "OK"
  • Click "OK" again to "Restore" (import) the data from the old version of LAS.
  
  Alternatively, you can restore your data from backup disks created in the old version of LAS.
